SOLD OUT: 250th Anniversary of Drottningholm Slottsteater featuring American conductor David Stern, June 11th
Join American Club Members and Opervännerna for a magical afternoon celebrating the 250th anniversary of Drottningholm Slottsteater with a newly written opera – “The Rococo Machine.” A reception with introduction to the opera by conductor David Stern will be held across the street from the Opera theatre at a private venue.
More about the opera: The opera is a jubilatory donation from the theatre’s friend association Friends of Drottningholms Slottsteater and is composed by Jan Sandström. The Rococo Machine is a tribute to the love for Drottningholms Slottsteater which also plays the leading role in this opera. It is an opera for the entire family!
Global Citizens Forum: How are Americans perceived when doing business in Sweden?, March 17th
The Global Citizens Forum is a new free networking and knowledge sharing forum for international professionals hosted by The American Chamber of Commerce in Sweden (AmCham) and The American Club of Sweden (ACS) in partnership with Better Business International (BBi).
During early 2016 it will take place 16.30-17.30 at the Hilton Slussen prior to the American Club of Sweden’s Third Thursday mingle.
The program for the GCF will initially cover the following topics:
- Thursday, January 21st: The importance of cultural intelligence (CQ) in leading multicultural teams
- Thursday, February 18th: What does it mean to be international?
- Thursday, March 17th: How are Americans perceived when doing business in Sweden

Our monthly mixing, mingling and networking event, Third Thursday (or “3T” as regulars call it) is open to anyone with an interest in The American Club of Sweden. It’s even a great opportunity for those considering membership to get to know our Members and learn more about our club.
The Third Thursday of each month we gather at Hilton Stockholm (Slussen) from 17:30-19:30.
