Led once again by our own First Vice President Germaine Thomas, and guided by the Clubâs long-standing spirit of service and hospitality, volunteers from the American Club of Sweden gathered on Thanksgiving Day to prepare and serve another successful Thanksgiving lunch for guests at Stockholm Stadsmissionen in VĂ„rberg.

Starting early to get a dozen turkeys in the oven, the morning work soon transformed into a warm, welcoming holiday meal for the guests, many of whom had never had turkey (or pumpkin pie!) before. Volunteers worked side by side to prepare a full Thanksgiving spread, filling the dining room with the vibe of a true American Thanksgiving.
The Board of Directors of the American Club of Sweden extends its heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers who showed up, rolled up their sleeves, and gave their time to make this annual community service event not only possible but truly meaningful. Whether cooking, serving, cleaning, or simply sharing friendly conversation, every contribution added to the spirit of the day.
This cherished tradition is made even more special by the generosity of all those who contribute to making it possible. A special thank-you goes to:
Ingelsta Kalkon, for their continued donation of turkey
NK Bröd, for providing cakes and baked goods that made the meal extra festive
And all our members who contributed pies, cookies, and desserts â each one adding a touch of home to this special meal.
The day was fun, fulfilling, and a beautiful reminder of the power of community service. Moments of laughter, teamwork, and gratitude filled the kitchen and dining room alike, making this yearâs Thanksgiving at Stadsmissionen another memorable chapter in a long-standing Club tradition.
We are already looking forward to next year!
