Holiday Third Thursday, December 15th

Our monthly mixing, mingling and networking event, Third Thursday (or “3T” as regulars call it) is open to anyone with an interest in The American Club of Sweden. It’s even a great opportunity for those considering membership to get to know our Members and learn more about our club.
In celebration of the Yuletide season, we will be listening to holiday music and enjoying the season. Free and open to all!
Galleri Duerr will be hosting a free showing of Her Self, shown at New York Fashion week and the Cannes Film Festival.
This event is held the Third Thursday of each month at Hilton Stockholm (Slussen) from 17:30-19:30.

Reception Honoring Astronauts Fuglesang and Meir, December 9th
On the evening of Friday, December 9th, the American Club and our partners are excited to have the opportunity to welcome and celebrate two astronauts:
Fuglesang, a European Space Agency astronaut and the first Swede in space, will be celebrating the 10th Anniversary (December 9th, U.S. time) of his first space flight (STS-116). Meir, whose mother is Swedish, was born and raised in Caribou, just one town away from New Sweden, in Maine. She is an active NASA astronaut and an aquanaut.
In addition to this reception, on Saturday, December 10th, there will be a celebration hosted by the Swedish National Space Board (Rymdstyrelsen) including the Swedish premier of the IMAX movie A Beautiful Planet. Further information below.
