Guided Tour of Fotografiska, April 4th

The exhibits to be toured include:

Time and Again: Photography from The Walther Collection, is one of the largest collections of photo art, with over 800 photographs, both from our historical roots to present time in Europe, China and Africa.

Monika Macdonald – In Absence pulsates with that which is otherwise unspoken. It is a reflection of our times in which old patterns are broken up and new ones are not communicated, where that which is purportedly normal remains stuck in a condition that many have already left.

Erik Johansson – Imagine: Created Reality evokes emotion with magical photographs where Erik Johansson created the reality out of fantasy which he uses photography to capture. More about Fotografiska:

Fotografiska is an international meeting place where everything revolves around photography. The ambition is to exhibit world-renowned photographers, many of whom have never been shown in Sweden, as well as those who are not yet established. Some are mysterious. Some are glamorous. Some are controversial. You won’t leave Fotografiska without a slightly different perspective than you had coming in. Fotografiska is housed in a former industrial Art Nouveau style building dating back to 1906. Designed by Ferdinand Boberg, the building was used for the customs control of goods and is listed as a building of cultural interest. The original brick facade of the beautiful customs building is intact, while the interior has been renovated to house the museum.
